interesting..
Marfan syndrome(medical context):
The Marfan syndrome is a heritable condition that affects the connective tissue. The primary purpose of connective tissue is to hold the body together and provide a framework for growth and development. In the Marfan syndrome, the connective tissue is defective and does not act as it should. Because connective tissue is found throughout the body, the Marfan syndrome can affect many body systems, including the skeleton, eyes, heart and blood vessels, nervous system, skin and lungs.
Marfan syndrome (aiwen's context): being a pain in the arse.. (see 麻烦)
was reading the article on using Cozaar,contains Lorsatan a ARB (angiotensin II receptor blocker) to help Marfan syndrome and to be honest, it was the term "marfan" that intriqued me to read abt it. did a search on it and discovered that it is quite a jiat lat thingy.. although patients typically are tall and lean, with disproportionately long arms, legs, fingers and toes, they get a variety of skeletal, eye, lung and heart problems. (hmm tall and lean , sounds like yitch no? *evil laugh*)
ok, shall go and do proper work liao. ja~
